Summer is in full swing and it's hotter than ever! There's no shortage of family fun happening around Lake Orion, Rochester Hills, and Oxford!

Now, grab your calendar (and maybe a towel—you'll see why!) because here are Macaroni KID Lake Orion • Rochester Hills • Oxford's Top 5 Family-Friendly Events happening this week!
1. Wet & Wild Wednesdays
Every Wednesday in July, the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm becomes one of the coolest places to beat the heat! Live music begins at 12 p.m., followed by water fun at 1 p.m. Enjoy two giant slip-and-slides, a real Rochester Hills fire truck, a foam machine for younger kids, wading in Stoney Creek, and interactive water activities hosted by the Clinton River Watershed Council. The Rochester Hills Public Library Bookmobile will also be on-site, along with the City of Rochester Hills Outdoor Engagement team, where kids can discover Michigan's fascinating wildlife and plants. Don't forget swimsuits, towels, and a change of clothes!
2. PJ Storytime
Slip into your favorite pajamas, grab your coziest stuffed animal, and head to the Orion Township Public Library for a relaxing, bedtime-themed storytime. It's the perfect way to wind down with stories, songs, and plenty of cozy fun.
3. Neighborhood of Stories: Children's Park
Join the fun on Friday, July 17 at 10 a.m. at Children's Park in downtown Lake Orion for a special outdoor storytime. Bring a blanket, enjoy the fresh air, and share a morning of reading and community with little ones.
4. Dancin' in the Street & Taste Fest
Downtown Rochester comes alive all weekend long! On Friday, July 17, festivities begin at 6 p.m. with live music from SpaceCat, delicious samples from some of Rochester's favorite restaurants, a beer and wine tent, and plenty of family-friendly fun. The celebration continues on Saturday, July 18, from 6–10 p.m. with Your Generation in Concert, opening performances by The Keynote Sisters, another evening of Taste Fest favorites, and a lively downtown atmosphere you won't want to miss.
5. Peace, Love, & ME!
Spend your Sunday celebrating health, wellness, and community at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm on Sunday, July 19, from 1–4 p.m. Hosted by the Rochester/Auburn Hills Community Coalition, this free family event features a climbing wall, live music, therapy dogs, hands-on DIY activities, interactive exhibits, and so much more. It's an afternoon packed with fun for all ages!
