If your child has ever turned a cardboard box into a drum set, treated the kitchen table like a piano, or belted out a Disney song at the top of their lungs, we have good news: they are already a musician! 🎶
Great news! Now there’s a brand-new place in Lake Orion where they can turn all that musical energy into something even more fun.
Red Piano Music Studio has moved from Oxford to a new, larger location at 2681 S. Lapeer Road in Lake Orion (right across the street from Home Depot)! The new studio has more teaching rooms, upgraded instruments, and extra space for the group classes and ensembles that Red Piano students love!
Whether you have a toddler who loves to dance, a preschooler who is ready to try the piano, or an older child who has dreams of becoming the next Taylor Swift, Red Piano has a musical opportunity worth checking out.
And here's an extra-special perk for Macaroni KID families:

🎵 Start Young with Early Childhood Music
You don't have to wait until your child is old enough for traditional lessons to start making music. In fact, some of Red Piano's most FUN offerings are designed specifically for the littlest musicians.
🎶 Toddler Tunes | Ages 1–2
Got a toddler who can't sit still when music comes on? Perfect!
Toddler Tunes lets little ones explore music through lively, interactive activities. Kids move, sing, explore sounds, and begin developing early musical skills all while having a great time.
We know toddlers aren't exactly known for their commitment to a 45-minute sit-down lesson so Red Piano offers flexible options, including weekly classes and drop-in opportunities. Mention discount code MacKID26 to try this class for FREE!
🦁 Music Safari | Ages 3-5
Calling all little explorers!
Music Safari gives preschoolers the opportunity to explore different instruments in an interactive environment. It's a playful introduction to the world of music and a great way for kids to discover what instruments and sounds they love. Mention discount code MacKID26 to try this class for FREE!
🎹 Tiny Tots Piano | Ages 4-6
Have you ever caught your preschooler sitting at the piano and randomly pressing every key? Instead of telling them to stop, you could put that curiosity to work!
Tiny Tots Piano is an interactive piano program designed for young children, where kids and parents can learn together in a fun, engaging environment. This is a great introduction to piano without expecting little ones to behave like miniature adults at a traditional private lesson.
☀️ Mornings With Mom
Looking for something fun to do together during the day? Red Piano's Mornings With Mom series gives little ones and their grown-ups an opportunity to spend time together through music, movement, and hands-on activities.
Sometimes the best part of a class isn't just what your child learns, it's watching their face light up when they discover something new! And bonus: it's an activity you can actually do together. ❤️
🎶 When They're Ready for the Next Step
Eventually, your little musician may decide they're ready to take things a little more seriously. That's where Red Piano's private lessons come in.
Traditional 1:1 lessons are available for ages 6 through adults, and piano is just the beginning. Students can choose from an impressively long list of instruments and creative offerings:
Piano • Guitar • Drums • Bass • Ukulele • Voice • Violin • Viola • Cello • Saxophone • Flute • Clarinet • Trumpet • Trombone • Music Production • Songwriting
Whether your child wants to learn piano, join the school band, become a rock guitarist, learn to sing, write their own songs or eventually produce music, there's plenty of room for their interests to grow. Red Piano's approach is centered around meeting students where they are and helping them actually enjoy making music! The studio's teachers are carefully selected and trained to make lessons enjoyable, and instructors are current or recent graduates of local music education or performance programs.

🧠 Music May Help With Those School Skills, Too!
We're not saying piano lessons will magically make your child ace their next math test😉but there is some pretty interesting research about the relationship between music education and academic performance. According to a study published by the American Psychological Association, high schoolers who take music lessons score significantly better on exams in math and science than their nonmusical peers! Researchers found that students who had studied instrumental music for several years and continued into high school performed, on average, at a level equivalent to roughly one academic year ahead in those subjects.
This doesn't necessarily mean music lessons cause better grades but learning an instrument does give kids plenty of opportunities to practice skills like listening, pattern recognition, concentration, persistence, creativity, and goal-setting while doing something they enjoy.🎶
🎸 A Studio That Grows With Your Family
One of the things we love about Red Piano is that your child's musical journey doesn't have to end after one class. Start with Toddler Tunes, explore instruments in Music Safari, try Tiny Tots Piano, spend a morning making music with Mom, and eventually move into private lessons, ensembles, songwriting or music production.
It's FUN music education that grows right along with your child!
